Come Wine With Us

2 weeks ago I joined Come wine with us at Doppio Zero Pineslopes with KWV Brandy's finest portfolio ranging from the NEW Cruxland Gin as well as the "Worlds best Brandy" which is their exceptional 20 year old brandy. We were also treated with a 3 course menu that was paired with the KWV reserve wine Range.

We were each given a selection of delicious dinner options...

The arrival drink was my favourite of the night. I love a good ol' G&T and the KWV Cruxland Gin was simply divine! I may or may not have asked for another arrival drink later on in the evening!

For starters I had the flank steak which was perfectly done and very tasty. I was quite surprised at how big the starters were, especially considering we had 2 more courses ahead of us!

For mains I had the Pollo Involtini (Bacon wrapped chicken breast) which was slightly dry for my liking but again, very fulling and full of flavour! I had a bit of food envy over the Shotgun Cannelloni if I'm honest!

For dessert I chose the lemon meringue over the chocolate done 3 ways with BarOne sauce. This got a lot of laughs at the table as everyone seemed to think that when you are offered chocolate, you take it!! I had the last laugh when my dessert arrived and was incredibly delicious, I was very impressed and if I wasn't diabetic I definitely would have seen if there was any possibility of getting another one!

Each course was carefully paired with a KWV wine or brandy!

It was such a lovely night and we all enjoyed trying new food and meeting new people!

There was an ample of amount of wine, brandy and gin. I'm not a big brandy drinker so I stuck to the wine and gin but Travis enjoyed the brandy selection and his favourite was the 20year old brandy.

Thank-you so much to the Come Wine With Me team, we thoroughly enjoyed our night out and we hope to see you again soon!

The Come Wine With Me events are held nearly every month and for R360 per person and they are definitely worth trying out. Whether you want to meet new people or simply catch up with friends, the CWWU evenings are well organised, well priced and just a lovely experience in general!
